Here is another great sports box.This auction is for a Hobby Exclusive Box of 1997 Fleer Flair Showcase Baseball cards. This is a box you don't see too often on Ebay. The 1997 Flair Showcase set was issued in one series totaling 540 cards. Three groups of 60 cards were inserted at different rates: Cards numbered from one through 60 were inserted 1.5 cards per pack, cards numbered from 61 through 120 were inserted one every 1.5 packs and cards numbered from 61 through 120 were inserted at a rate of one per pack. This hobby exclusive set is divided into three 180-card sets (Row 2/Style, Row 1/Grace, and Row 0/Showcase) and features holographic foil fronts with an action photo of the player silhouetted over a larger black-and-white head-shot image in the background. The thick card stock is laminated with a shiny glossy coating for a super-premium "feel." Also inserted one in every pack was a Million Dollar Moments card. Rookie Cards include Brian Giles. Finally, 25 serial-numbered Alex Rodriguez Emerald Exchange cards (good for a signed Rodriguez glove) were randomly seeded into packs. There are 24 packs in each box and 5 Cards in each Pack. For a full list of the inserts, look at this scan. ******************************** This is one of many sealed sports, non sports and gaming card boxes that I put away years ago. This box is still sealed in it's original Fleer/Skybox factory shrink wrap and has been stored in a cool, dry, smoke-free environment. It hasn't been subjected to heat or light. All items are securely shipped. I bag, pack and ship all lots with extraordinary care. The box will be packed in a waterproof bag, sandwiched in multiple layers of cardboard wrappers, rebagged and then carefully surrounded with packed material within a shipping container. You are bidding on TWO authentic Joe DiMaggio autographs. The baseball autograph is on a Gene Budig (AL President 1994-99) Rawlings Official baseball. The wood plaque autograph is on a Hall Of Fame Induction Day Plaque. Known as Joltin Joe DiMaggio and The Yankee Clipper, Joe DiMaggio was a 13 time All-Star, a 9 time World Series Champion, 1939 Major League Player of the Year and 3 time AL-MVP in 1939, 1941, 1947. Joe DiMaggio ended his career with almost as many Home runs (361) as Strikeouts (369). Joe DiMaggio is the holder of what many call the greatest achievements in sports: The 56-game hitting streak (May 15 - July 16, 1941). Voted baseball's greatest living player in 1969 right up till his death in 1999. Joe is now considered one of the great American sports figures in U.S History. His autograph, alive or dead has been one of the most revered in all of sports. This baseball, not only has the classic Joe DiMaggio signature, but he has also signed "HOF '55" under his name (the year he was inducted into baeball's Hall Of Fame). Very rare. The wood Plaque information with the DiMaggio autograph is under hard plastic with "Joe DiMaggio limited edition #499 of 1955" in gold lettering on the right side of the plaque. The back side is made for hanging on the wall. A Certificate of Authenticity is included for the plaque from Score Board Inc. The ball is sealed in plastic with an authentic PSA seal on the ball, inside of the plastic for its authentic proof. No marks or smears on the ball or signature, having been sealed right after having been signed in the late 90's.
